On
26 and 27 March 2010 there
was an excursion of wooden churches of our region in which we took part
in.
When
you enter into the one of
these churches the first you can notice it is an aroma of an old wood
which is covered
with an aroma of incense. It is very fascinating these "wooden
jewels" of our architecture have
lasted for such long time without using the nails. It is also sad some
of them
have got modern
extensions, for
example
the halls and there is not used this type of building up. There was an
old
church in Hervartov which engaged my attention. A dear elderly man
invited us.
He was joking. After sitting into the pews we could hear a rasping of
whole
building because of wind impact. When the guide finished his lecture
something
interested me. It looked like a font. He told me I was not mistaken
even I
touched about 500 years old
font. Amazing! In other wooden
temple a mural engaged me. It
was 300 years old if I am not mistaken. Simply each of these churches
has
managed interested
me by something.
At
the first sight these
churches are inconspicuous buildings but after closer review you can
find out
there is hidden a piece of our culture and history.

I´m
still remember that day, when our form
teacher
informed
us that we will go to trip. But this one no will be only normal trip.
It should
be sightseeing trip about churches of Svidník´s
and
Bardejov´s regions. Sponsor
was the Orange foundation. We all were looking forward to seeing it and
we couldn´t
wait for that day when we went there. All of us set up something from
history
at least one church and selected classmates learnt it by heart. The
time was
going like water and all of us were just
waiting the
started and ready
for get
going. Finally we lived to see it. The
journey was funny and the weather wasn´t bad. It was just
right
for hiking in
that day. It was neither too hot, nor cold. When we got there, at first
we went
to church. Except guides, who were waiting in every church, our
classmates were
talking about them. We were passing churches one by one and there were
them
enough in that region. Church in Bardejov´s baths belong
among
the most beautiful
churches. It was Evangelist church with rich decoration. Iconostasis
and altar
fall me into the eye soon, especially
for the
sophisticated decor. The churches were built by hand and without a
single nail.
Museum and smaller church richly decorated too are locates in a
pleasant and
quiet environment baths. As with every churches, even when this there
was a
cemetery. I am glad that some churches are included in the UNESCO World
Heritage List. Finally, we can go happy and enriched the experience
home, which
is also always so beautiful...

one in Bodružaľ.
I had to prepair something about this church.
I learnd
something about this church. I must to find some more
informations
about
it. I liked the architecture of it, specifically the end of
towers-
poppies, shingle roof and belfry. At
and
in this church was make a lot of fotos. On this fotos is
church
and us, in
very good mood. We enjoyed all times of out trip. Particullary we
visited
museum in Bardejov ´ s spa. There
we
taked most „ art "

my friends. I liked buildings in very
nice nature. I can saw the age of this buildings. They are
beatifull.
From

On
26/03/2010 I attended under the guidance of our teachers excursion
called
wooden churches. The purpose of this excursion was to learn about
churches in
various villages around Bardejov. Suddenly we had before school and we
went.
The journey was rather tedious
and
tiring but
still on the bus took a perfect atmosphere. When we came to the
first wooden church we were thrilled. The church was beautiful. Cell
was wooden
and had a beautiful structure. As soon as we walked in the bottom
astonish us
beautiful icons. Each church is composed of Babinca,
ships and
sacristy. Guide,
we talked a lot and we learned a lot. When we visited more and more
churches,
it seemed to us that they are all the same. But it was not so. Each
church has
something unique and original. Finally we came to Bardejov and Bardejov
visited
museum. This museum impressed me greatly. In addition to wooden
churches there
were old, rich homes that I liked most. I admired the fact that some
houses
were tiny and completely been there a lot of people. All we photographedor we nenazdali
and our tour, we
scaled back.
Slowly we moved the bus which was waiting for us and the mountains are
home. I
am glad that I could have led educators to participate in this
excursion of
which I have many experiences and much knowledge.

I was exited for this school journey for a
week before it started. At the day we beggin to travel, we had to meet
in the place in front of school, where we were waiting for the bus. The
object of this trip was visit and learn about articular wooden
churches of northen part of eastern Slovakia and within the
Orange nadation project we had to make a film about theese wooden
churches. When the bus arrived, everyone grabbed his luggage into the
bus and everybody was prepearing for the ride to the first destination
of our journey . It was church named Luková in the little town
called Venécia. We saw so many other wooden churches close to
Svidník and Bardejov too. Within journey we visited Bardejov
city and Bardejovské kúpele. I didn´t see whole
city, but anyway I liked it. I most liked wooden church in
Dobroslava. Dobroslava is small, beautiful village, which has got
only 36 residents. The church has got interesting stepped tower and the
small interior which dominant was beautiful iconostasis. In this church
most impressed me the chandelier, which hung so low, so I could take a
close photo of it. I liked the Hervartov church, Ladomirová,
Krajné čierno and Bodružal church too.
We came home so tired, but anyway, the journey was fantastic.
